Annual Church Retreat

FEBRUARY 6-8, 2015

Join us in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains at The Dillard House in Dillard, Georgia for the 20th Annual Church Retreat.  This year we welcome Tommy Hays as our guest speaker and you will be blessed as you worship and fellowship with each other.  Everyone is welcome – you do not have to be a member of St. James to attend.  Separate activities will be planned for adults, nursery, children and youth.

Step 1 – If you plan to stay at the Dillard House, please make your own lodging reservation by calling 1-800-541-0671 X200 BY DECEMBER 15, 2014. After this date the resort will not guarantee that our block of rooms will be available.  Please reference St. James UMC when making your reservation.  In order to avoid paying for more rooms than are needed, we must have an accurate count for the number of rooms needed. Rooms at the Dillard House are $109 per night plus tax.  A limited number of older rooms are available for $79  per night plus tax.  All rooms have refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee makers.

Step 2 – Complete and return the registration form no later than January 26, 2015. It is essential that we have an accurate number of attendees for breakfast and dinner on Saturday and the number of children/youth who will be attending so we can provide an adequate number of workers and leaders.

Other local hotel lodging accommodations in Dillard or Clayton range from $50 - $100 per night.  There are a number of rental cabins in the area.  Check explorerabun.com or the VRBO listings.

MEALS will be on your own at the Dillard House or at other local restaurants with the exception of Saturday morning when breakfast will be provided in the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church fellowship hall (just a short walk or drive from the Dillard House) and Saturday night when we will have a family meal at the Dillard House.  Since a welcome reception is provided on Friday evening, you might want to skip dinner on Friday. S nacks, chips, pastries, sandwich items, drinks, etc. can also be brought to eat in your room.  There are a variety of other reasonable dining options in Dillard and Clayton.

ACTIVITIES available in the area:  horseback riding, tennis, petting zoo at the Dillard House, golf at Sky Valley or Kingswood, snow tubing at Scaly Mountain Outdoor Center, waterfalls, hiking, mountain biking, Foxfire Museum, shopping in the unique shops in Dillard or Clayton
