Bible Classes

At St. James, we believe that our Sunday Bible Classes are the foundation of our church. Our desire is that every person who attends St. James finds a place in a Bible Class.

Bible Classes are the primary opportunity for Christian discipleship and growth. As our church grows, it becomes even more critical for persons to become part of a more intimate family unit that the Bible Class provides. Bible Class teachers should shepherd their classes and class members should care for one another.

All teaching is Christ-centered and Biblically-based. We have several options for adults--so find your place! Visit a class or two and make Sunday Bible Class part of your life. You will be greatly blessed if you do!

Aldersgate, Room 101
This cross section of the Church without respect to age, marital status, and educational background, uses Adult Bible Study Series in an inspirational and stimulating manner. (primary lecture format, occasional discussion.)
Bible Basics for Adults, Room 219
Finding the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the Old and New Testament is the major theme of this enthusiastic and warm group. Materials offered are fresh and creative.
 Faith Builders, Room 220
This is a mixed class for singles and couples of all ages. Organized in January, 1997, this class utilizes a lecture/discussion format. No formal literature is used, but specific Books of the Bible are discussed. You will find a warm, nurturing environment suited to the new or mature Christian.
Wesley Fellowship, Room 202 (Fellowship Hall)
A very warm and caring group of involved middle-age and older adults uses the Adult Bible Study Series with lectures and some discussion. A rotation of teachers using a lecture-style method is usual.
