St. James UMC - Current Events Calendar

Tanzania Mission Team commissioning
|
As with all our mission teams, we will commission the team of four going to Tanzania, Africa. We will commission them during the 11:00 service and they will immediately leave for the airport to catch their afternoon flight. Trip dates are June1-12. Please see www.sjumc.org/international.html for more information about this trip and our other international missions efforts.

Day of Praying and Fasting
|
This is a day set aside for us to fast and pray for the various ministries of our church. Whether it's our Music Ministry, Youth Ministry, or any of the others, we want to seek God's face and His will for St. James.
After a day of fasting, we will gather for a Worship Celebration @ 7:30 p.m. in the St. James Sanctuary.

Join us for a great time together at Sandy Creek Park (www.sandycreeknaturecenter.com) just north of Athens as we celebrate the end of a great week of Vacation Bible School, and as we eat and hang out with our St. James family! Bring a side dish or dessert to share wtih the rest; meat and drinks will be provided. The theme this year is "Beach Party"!
We will also have a service of immersion baptism at the lake. Please call the St. James church office (706.548.1680) if you desire baptism.
