Fellowship among the congregation at St. James is one of the cornerstones of the church's vitality. The Fellowship Ministry encourages this togetherness by arranging a variety of activities. Our desire is to provide a fun environment where everyone can come together to get to know one another better. Everyone is invited to attend these opportunities for fellowship:

Greening of the Church

The Greening of the Church happens the first Sunday in Advent. We will provide cookies, candy and chips to keep the workers energized as we deck the halls of the church in celebration of Christmas. This is a great way to start the Christmas season!

Global Block Party / Church Picnic

On Sunday, October 10, we held a picnic celebration we called “Global Block Party” to highlight and celebrate the various international mission opportunities we have been and are currently involved in.  The countries represented that St. James has sent teams internationally are Russia, Montenegro, Tanzania, Estonia, Mexico, Scotland, and the Holy Land.  Barbeque chicken was on the menu, as was great worship music provided by the St. James Praise Team and Julie Powell Caldwell.  All monies raised through ticket sales and donations to the “Change for Change” baskets go to support our international missions efforts.

Staff Appreciation Luncheon

Do not miss this event! Sunday, May 2, immediately following the 11:00 service.  This is a covered dish lunch--meat and drinks will be provided.  Please just us for food, fun, fellowship, entertainment--oh yeah, and a great time to say thanks to our staff.

During the summer months we will have ice-cold lemonade after the 11:00 service. This is a great chance to chat with folks and make new friends. Just like the name says, this takes place under the big oak trees on the side of the church. Beginning June 6!

On Sept. 11, we will have a Dawg Days Party in the parking lot. Join us for an evening of good food, football and fellowship. More details to come!

Reception Honoring the Chancel Choir

After their outstanding cantata performance, the choir deserves some good food! Come say thank-you to the choir and enjoy some Christmas fellowship at this covered dish luncheon.
