Fellowship among the congregation at St. James is one of the cornerstones of the church's vitality. The Fellowship Ministry encourages this togetherness by arranging a variety of activities. Our desire is to provide a fun environment where everyone can come together to get to know one another better. Everyone is invited to attend these opportunities for fellowship:

Staff Appreciation Banquet
Do not miss this event! The Fellowship Hall is
transformed to honor our staff. This night is
filled with fun, fellowship and blessings for the
staff, along with an entertaining (and often
outrageous) program. Be a part of the blessing!


Church Picnic
This annual event, is held each Spring at a local lake--this year we'll be at Sandy Creek Park on June 20!
Our theme this year, as we celebrate the end of a great Vacation Bible School, is "Beach Party!"  Enjoy beach games, steel drum music and visiting with friends. Be sure to show up hungry! The best part of this event is the immersion baptisms in the lake.

Lemonade Under the Trees
During the summer months we will have ice-cold lemonade
after the 11:00 service. This is a great chance to chat with
folks and make new friends. Just like the name says, this
takes place under the big oak trees on the side of the church.

Greening of the Church
The Greening of the Church happens the first Sunday in Advent. We will provide cookies, candy and chips to keep the workers energized as we deck the halls of the church in celebration of Christmas. This is a great way to start the Christmas season!

Reception Honoring the Chancel Choir
After their outstanding cantata performance, the choir deserves some good food! Come say thank-you to the choir and enjoy some Christmas fellowship at this covered dish luncheon.

New Member Luncheon
Periodically we host a special luncheon to welcome new church members to the St. James Family.
