Welcome to the St. James nursery!


Our nursery is designed to provide a safe and loving environment for babies and young children while their parents are participating in worship and Bible study.

The nursery at St. James ministers to both parents and children. We provide nursery (newborn through 3 years) care during the Sunday School hours of (9:40-10:40) and the 11:00 am service on Sunday mornings. We also provide nursery for Wednesday Night Activities, beginning at 6:00 pm.

While the children are in the nursery, they are forming relationships with the nursery workers and learning the foundations of our faith in Jesus. We have 2 full-time Sunday School teachers in each room, along with a paid worker. This consistency helps the children feel secure and happy. During all other services, we have at least 2 adults in the room. We have a wonderful paid staff in the nursery that are CPR trained.

For the safety of our children, each child is assigned an identification number that is to be used as the parent picks up the child. This number can also be displayed in both the sanctuary and Fellowship Hall if we need to contact the parent.

We have four rooms open: newborns, one’s, two’s, and three’s. We also have a playground designed for the nursery aged children. We have social events quarterly, like a pool party or Big Wheel Day. We also host a Ladies’ Night Out (dinner or project night) once a month.

Children who have turned four prior to September 1, 2007 participate in our Children's Program.
