PRAYER MINISTRY ACTIVITIES
1. SCHOOL OF HEALING PRAYER
- An intensive study of the ministry of prayer for others to which the church is called. Participants learn how to pray more effectively for and with those who are in need of physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual healing. This is a DVD series with an accompanying book and opportunities for practice prayer in small groups. Three levels are offered at various times of the year with each class lasting 11 to 13 weeks.
School of Healing Prayer , Level 1: A 13 week study. Topics in this introductory study include scriptural foundations for healing, baptism in the Holy Spirit, history of healing in the church, healing our image of God, physical healing, inner healing, deliverance prayer, and the healing power of forgiveness. The study utilizes DVDs from Christian Healing Ministries and study books. This is the first of three courses offered for our Prayer Ministers and it is a great study even if you just want to learn how to pray for family, friends and others more effectively. Call Bailey Mitchell at 706-769-8539 or 706-202-9161 or Jane Kilgo at 706-548-3524 if you have questions. Class length is 1-1/2 hours. For more information you can also email the prayer ministry at baileywmitchell@charter.net.
School of Healing Prayer, Level 2: A 13 week study that builds on the foundations established in Level I, which is a prerequisite. It leads participants in a progressive and more in-depth understanding of healing prayer ministry and more specific issues that arise. It focuses on the healing of relationships through more defined areas such as healing of marriage, healing wounds of divorce, and healing of abortion and miscarriage, among others. Please contact Bailey Mitchell at 706-769-8539 or 706-202-9161 or Jane Kilgo at 706-548-3524 if you have questions. Class length is usually 1-1/2 hours. For more information you can also email the prayer ministry at baileywmitchell@charter.net.
School of Healing Prayer , Level 3: An 11 week study that addresses some of the dynamics of serious issues that may be encountered not infrequently in healing prayer such as abuse, addictions, deliverance and understanding the grieving process. Also covered are: Restoration and integration of the masculine and femine, and the role of anger in relationships. Call Jane Kilgo (706-548-3524) if interested or email the prayer ministry at baileywmitchell@charter.net. Levels 1 and 2 are prerequisites. Level 3 is also highly recommended for Prayer Ministers.
