Worship Services & Bible Studies

Sunday Worship Services:

8:30 and 11:00 A.M.

Our worship services are designed to glorify God, exalt Jesus Christ, and to give us an opportunity to hear God's Word preached to us each week.

[If you're considering being a guest with us at one of our services, or you're looking for more information on what to expect, visit our "What to Expect" page.]

Because we know not everyone worships in the same style, our two services reflect that.  Here's a little more for you to know:

8:30 worship service -- a more traditional United Methodist worship service.  Typically lasts 50-55 minutes.

11:00 worship service -- incorporates both traditional and contemporary worship styles. It’s not unusual at this service to have traditional hymns as well as a jazz ensemble accompanying our Praise Team.   Lasts anywhere from an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.

Regardless of the style you prefer or the service you attend, our desire is to lift up Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Wednesday Nights Opportunities -- Spring 2016

(We resume February 24!)

Our Wednesday Night Opportunities have activities available for all ages!

The fundamental mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus, and as we continue on that mission our Wednesday Night Opportunities are a great way for us to learn and be equipped to disciple others.  Wednesday nights around St. James are more casual and relaxed than on Sunday mornings, but deep learning and sharing take place.

All of our activities and classes are designed to help us learn about Jesus, be connected with others as we learn, and to serve others by being involved in intentional relationship.

Two studies are available at this time--more may be added depending on need:

- A six-week women's bible study using the Karen Kingsbury study, The Friends of Jesus, will meet in Room 219.

- We are also offering Foundations Of The Faith:  The Apostles' Creed, as we learn and discuss what as Christians we believe and why we believe it.  Foundations will meet in Room 220.

For more information about our Wednesday Night activities, or about St. James in general, please call 706.548.1680, or email info@sjumc.org.
