Week 6 – The Habits of a Loving Heart

Week 6 – 2/14/16

The Habits of a Loving Heart

As we close our study on LOVE, we are full circle back to loving the Lord our God with all our hearts, soul, mind, and strength.  We are put here to worship Him and to live abundantly in His joy!  Please read the following as one continual thought (the references are only there so we can find these again):

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.  When can I go and meet with God?...Deep calls to deep…By day the Lord directs His love, at night His song is with me – a prayer to the God of my life…” (Psalm 42: 1-8)

“For the Lord is your life…” (Deut. 30: 20b)

“For the Lord is your life, and He will give you many years in the land.” (Deut. 30: 20b)

“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of [“giants in the land” – troubles or difficulties], for the Lord your God goes with you.  He will never leave you nor forsake you…” (Deut. 31:6)

“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you.  Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.”  (Deut. 31:8)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” (Proverbs 3: 5-6)

“It was not by their sword [their striving] that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your face, for You loved them…” (Psalm 44:3)

In other words, it is not by OUR strength or striving that we overcome and are able to love Him and others.  It is HIS power, HIS strength, and that He first loved us!

May you be blessed in your continuing journey to love Him with all your heart, all your mind, and all

your soul…  The true Tidal Wave of Love!
